Only wakes you for what's worth waking for.

The bedside alert guardian you configure. You decide which alerts earn a full wake-up, which get a gentle chime and a spoken heads-up, and which can wait until morning.

The problem

Sleepers deserve a filter, not a firehose.

Phone alerts

All-or-nothing

Everything buzzes — or Do Not Disturb silences the one alert that actually matters. Your phone can't tell a tornado warning apart from a flash flood watch three counties away, so most people either lose sleep or turn alerts off entirely.

Weather radios

The whole county, all night

A traditional weather radio blasts the whole county for a storm miles away. It's loud, it's indiscriminate, and after the third false alarm at 2 a.m., it ends up unplugged — right when you need it most.

WakeWorthy sits between the two: it filters first, then wakes you — only for the alerts you picked, only when they're close enough to matter.

Meet WakeWorthy

A bedside wedge with one job.

A screenless bedside wedge with a color light ring, a big acknowledge button, and a loud, clear speaker. No display lighting up the room. No menus to squint at half-asleep.

  • 1×
    Press — acknowledge

One press silences the alert. Findable by touch alone, eyes still closed.

  • 3s
    Hold — test

Hold for three seconds to run a full sound, light, and radio check.

  • 2×
    Double-press — spoken status

“All clear. Monitoring 3 locations. Battery 92%.” Said out loud, no screen needed.

How it works

It watches. It judges. Then it decides whether to wake you.

01 — WATCHES

Every source, always on

National Weather Service warning polygons, USGS earthquakes, civil emergency alerts — plus a built-in NOAA Weather Radio (SAME) receiver that works even when the internet is down.

02 — JUDGES

Distance decides

Two zones you set per location. Inside your inner radius: full alarm. In the outer ring: chime and voice only. Beyond that: silence.

03 — ESCALATES

It doesn't give up

Volume climbs and the alert repeats until you acknowledge it. A heavy sleeper setting means business; a light sleeper setting stays gentle.

04 — RUNS ALONE

Set it in the app, then forget it

You configure everything in the companion app. After that, the device runs standalone on Wi-Fi — no phone on the nightstand required.

HOME

Two zones, per location, per alert type

Inner zone — full alarm. Sound, light ring, and strobe at the treatment you set. This is the “wake the house” circle.

Outer ring — chime & voice. A gentle chime and a spoken heads-up: “Severe thunderstorm warning, 8 miles northwest.” Noted, not alarming.

Beyond the outer ring, WakeWorthy stays silent and logs it for the morning. You draw both circles in the app, for every location you track.

Features

Configured by you. Down to every alert.

Your rules for every alert

Each alert type gets its own sound, volume, ring color, and optional strobe. A tornado is not a frost advisory — WakeWorthy treats them differently because you told it to.

Spoken announcements

It tells you what the alert is, in plain words — so you know whether to get up, get the kids, or go back to sleep, without reaching for a phone.

Quiet hours that fit any schedule

Set your sleep window and a “never wake me except…” list. Made for night owls, early risers, and shift workers whose 3 a.m. is noon.

Hearing-impaired ready

A bright, per-alert strobe you can set by color and brightness — a wake-up you can see, paired with the low-frequency tone option below.

Listens for your smoke & CO alarms

Dual microphones listen for the standard alarm patterns in your home and pass the alert to you. A notifier — not a detector. Your existing alarms stay in charge.

Power-outage alerting

It knows the moment wall power fails — and tells you, which matters if a CPAP or medical device is on that circuit. 24+ hour battery backup keeps watch through the outage.

Multiple locations

Home, the cabin, a parent's house, a student at college — each location gets its own zones and its own rules. Softer defaults for the places you're not sleeping.

IFTTT in and out

WakeWorthy can trigger your other automations when an alert fires — and other services can raise a WakeWorthy alert. Both directions, from day one.

Starter profiles

Every profile is just a starting point — every sound, color, zone, and quiet-hour rule stays yours to change.

More than weather

Weather is where it starts. It's not where it stops.

If it can threaten a household at night, WakeWorthy can watch for it — each with its own rules, zones, and wake-up treatment.

Questions

Fair questions.

Is WakeWorthy a smoke or CO detector?

No — it listens for your existing alarms' sounds and alerts you. It is not a certified detector, and it never replaces one. Think of it as the messenger that makes sure the alarm you already own actually wakes you.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The built-in NOAA Weather Radio (SAME) receiver and the 24+ hour battery backup keep warnings coming when the internet — or the power — is down.

Will it wake me through phone Silent mode?

It doesn't go through your phone at all. WakeWorthy is a standalone bedside device with its own speaker, light ring, and strobe — your phone's Silent or Do Not Disturb settings are irrelevant to it.
